Absolutely amazing! Cannot say enough good things. Sophie was a great trail lead. Her horses are well taken care of, responsive, trained, and great for a trail ride. Her horses are Paso Finos, they are gaited and have a smooth trot.
My daughter and I are experienced riders and my other daughter is a beginner and the ride was great for all of us.
We’ve done trail rides in several countries and this was probably my favorite for the great trotting sessions and the gorgeous views.
The farm was fun to visit and see the animals, also.
This afternoon, my daughter went for a trail ride at Rancho Alegro. During this one-on-one ride, they headed up into the mountains, and along the way, they regularly shared insights about the surroundings. They were out for well over an hour, and upon returning, she even got to wash her horse! With permission, Sophie took photos during the ride, allowing us to relive the memories afterwards. The ranch has many different animals, so an hour of ‘waiting’ isn't unpleasant at all!
Today, I went for a trail ride with my 8-year-old daughter. She has about a year of riding experience, and it was really manageable! We rode a very nice route, which also took us to a viewpoint where we could see the whole island. Very beautiful! The horses were very well-behaved and listened well. Sophie was very nice and told us interesting things, including about the different flora and fauna and a bit about the history of Curaçao. Very enjoyable and highly recommended if you love horses and horseback riding!! It is also perfectly doable if you are a little less experienced!

4 weeks agoHow nice! I drove there every two weeks until 1985. Nice people, "Uncle" Joe and José, and well-cared-for animals (chickens, goats, cows, geese).
